Our Staff

The Linwood Group is an affiliated member of the Federation of Drug and Alcohol Professionals (FDAP), which means that we work within a strict Code of Ethics and Standards. Individual counsellors are either accredited members of the Association or, currently working towards accreditation. Similarly, nursing staff comply with their Professional Code of Practice as set down by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).

All staff employed by the group are experienced practitioners with a wide range of skills in treating addictions, and we are registered with the CSCI (Commission for Social Care Inspection). All our facilities are registered and inspected by the Commission for Social Care Inspection (CSCI). All policies and procedures at The Linwood Group comply with UK government Drugs & Alcohol National Occupational Standards (DANOS) guidelines.

Our Name

Lynwode, Linwood or Linwode? The original treatment centre retains the old English version of the village name associated with the house whereas the village of Linwood uses the more popular phonetically based version of the name. We have adopted the popular version of the name for the group to which Lynwode Manor belongs and you will find us whichever version you adopt.
